how do I get started?
Our best advice for you is to do your research. The more you can tell us about how you envision your brand through our Questionnaire (only fill this out if you have already purchased a service), the better it will help us out in designing what you want. If you are purchasing a website, list all the web functionalities / add-ons that you would like to see. (newsletter sign up, social media icons, etc)

how long does it take to complete a project?
Depending on our current production schedule, you can expect:

- First Web Proof: within 7 -10 business days from date of signed contract
- Completed Website: 14 business days from approval of proof
- Print Projects: Proof within 5-10 business days depending on scope of project

what are your hours of operation?
Our office hours of operation are Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 5:30 pm EST

what methods of payment do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards and Paypal.

what is stock photography?
We believe that pictures can make or break your design. We encourage our clients to use royalty free stock photography at www.istockphoto.com. Depending on whether or not your design project is web or print, they are as little as $1.00 each. You can supply us the actual images or you may give us the file numbers where we will download it for you and apply it to your final invoice.

who owns the copyright?
Q graphique retains copyright of all design work until final payment is made after which the copyright will then belong to the client. If contract is terminated before work is completed, all design work will remain copyright of Q graphique. Q graphique and its subcontractors retain the right to display graphics and other design elements as samples of their work in their respective portfolios.

design credit
A small logo image and/or link to Q graphique will appear at the bottom of each webpage design. The Client agrees to display this image and link for as long as the Website, designed by Q graphique, is publicly displayed on the internet, regardless of where the site is hosted or maintained.

the design process

1. purchase your desired package
Send us an email of which package/service you would like. If it isn't listed, contact us for a quote. You will receive a contract from us at which time a 50% deposit is required. Please sign this contract and fax/email it back to us. The balance is due before we send you the final files / upload your site live.

2. online project manager
If you have purchased a website requiring CMS, once your order has been processed, you will receive an email with a link, username and password to login to our online Project Manager. This is where all the conversations, file uploads etc. will take place regarding your entire project from beginning to end.

3. questionnaire
You will be required to fill out our Questionnaire. This will give us a better understanding of your design style and what types of web functionality you would like (if you have purchased a website). Please provide as much information as you can.

4. photos / images / text copy
We ask that you supply us with your logo, photos / images and text copy that you may have. See our comment above on Stock Photography regarding www.istockphoto.com. We will require all your images and copy before we start the design of your project.

5. design stage + project scope
We strongly encourage input from the Client during the initial design process by filling out the questionnaire on our website to ensure that we grasp an idea of the brand that you are going for. Client is also encouraged to provide any sketches, drawings, other samples to aid in the design process.

PRINT WORK
Once deposit has been received and depending on the scope of the project, we will supply a proof of the print project. The client is allowed 4 rounds of revisions for changes/modifications. If changes/modifications exceed 4 passes, our hourly rate of $50 will be applied. Once the print work has been finalized, remaining balance is due before the client is suplied all final artwork. You will receive a project sign off form stating that the project is now closed.

LOGO DESIGN
Once deposit has been received, we will supply the client 3 logo concepts based from the questionnaire that the client has filled in. Client is allowed 4 rounds of revisions for changes/modifications. We encourage the client to mix and match any of the designs and tweak colours. If changes/modifications exceed 4 passes, our hourly rate of $50 will be applied. Once the logo has been finalized, remaining balance is due before the client is supplied all final artwork. You will receive a project sign off form stating that the project is now closed.

WEBSITE DESIGN

STAGE 1: WEBSITE DESIGN
Once deposit has been received, we will supply the client a web proof based from the questionnaire that the client has filled in. Client is allowed 4 rounds of revisions for changes/modifications. If changes/modifications exceed 4 passes, our hourly rate of $50 will be applied. Once web proof has been finalized, it will be prepared for coding. Note that once the web proof has been coded, going back to stage 1 will incur fees of $50 - $100 /hour.

STAGE 2: WEBSITE CODING

Web Template: Your website will be coded and a temporary link will be given to you to view the site. Your website is now completed and the final balance is due before your site goes live. You may begin entering the info/products into your website. .

Custom Website
If you have purchased a custom website, 3 rounds of revisions are allowed at this stage. Any revisions past this point will be subject to an hourly rate of $100 per hour. Your website is now completed and the final balance is due before your site goes live.

If training is required, a mutually convenient time will be arranged to go through our system either via phone or live chat. For selected packages, we provide 2 hours of training to learn the CMS application.

what is a domain and hosting?
A domain is www.qkcollective.com. Hosting is a physical remote location where your files are stored so it is viewable on the Internet.

what is Content Management System (CMS)?
It is an application where we build your website on, enabling you to maintain it yourself through a web interface without the knowledge of HTML. It is both PC and Mac compatible, however we advise to use Firefox or IE Browsers.

how do I manage my web site?
We will train you on the use of our Content Management System. It is an application which allows you (our client) to manage your own website/shopping cart after we have built it without having to know any HTML.

what is an e-commerce and informational website?
E-commerce is the selling of goods and services over the Internet. An informational website is one without the use of a shopping cart.

what are pre-designed websites?
For those on a budget, our pre-designed websites are already designed for you. Just pick and choose which one you like. Our pre-designed website templates are totally customizable. what is a custom home page?
Your homepage is one of the most important sections of your entire site. A captivating and bold homepage grabs the attention of the shopper and is the best way to let a user know of specials events or products. This section is on the very first page of your site only and is located in the middle of the design.

what is a flash intro?
A splash screen is the first page a user looks at. It will have your logo and any other images you wish to capture the nature of your business. This splash screen is built with Flash giving movement and animation to your site.

what is shell/template coding?
We will code your site to the shopping cart using the template that has been designed.

what is blog integration?
We will integrate the design of your website utilizing Blogspot or Wordpress templates.

what are entered pages?
With our lower packages, the client will enter in their website info themselves utilizing our Content Management System. With our higher packages, we will enter this in for you. Once your project has been finished and closed, you will maintain these pages yourself unless you have purchased a maintenance program with us.

what is an information website?
An Information Website is a website without a need for a shopping cart. We will enter in all the information depending on how many pages your package has.
